Ya'll ever play this N64 fighting game or the sequel? What do you think of the mechanics? Seems like it does a few things better than DOA. Kind of wish we could see a modern sequel to this.

Thanks for reminding me to play this game again. I rented this back in the day from Blockbuster and I remember being able to save custom moves to the memory pak. The point system is really cool. The devs were wise enough to have two action buttons assigned to A and B, using C-buttons would have felt weird.

Did you play the sequel? How is it?

Fighter's Destiny was my first experience with tournament creation. My best friend at the time and I both made paper flyers and filmed the tournament for VHS. He claims he has the tape somewhere in his basement. I was just a wee little kid! It was unfortunate that the N64 didn't have a few more fighting games.
