DEAD OR ALIVE 5 Last Round 雷道 帰ってきた! プロモーションムービ Raidou is back! Promotion Video

Famitsu has announced that one of the two new characters is the Dead or Alive boss Raidou. He has been altered for his appearance in Last Round. His body has been augmented to cybernetic technology. He's not the same ninja he used to be, but Raidou displays a big build, electric moves and a cyborg body. If you thought he looked evil before... just look at him now. A menacing face, a darker tone, and the cyborg attributes really add an even scarier aspect to the Dead or Alive boss.

His story is as follows:

After being killed by an explosion during the First
Dead or Alive Tournament, Raidou was pieced back together,
outfitted with cybernetic parts, and brought back to life by
Donovan. As a side effect he has lost all memories of his past,
and retains only his natural lust for power.

Fighting Style:
Raidou's fighting style is Mugen Tenshin Ninjutsu at its core,
but he builds upon this with techniques he has stolen from
various fighters. Unlike fellow Mugen Tenshin Ninjutsu practitioners
Kasumi and Hayate, he favors moves that make the most of his size and power.
He has also developed some techniques of his own,
such as Tengeki-Gorai-Sho and Rekku-Jinraisatsu.

Additionally, the release showed a screenshot between Kasumi and Raidou. Some may recognize Kasumi's new outfit.

Raidou is the older brother of Kasumi's father Shiden, and biological father to Ayane. Known for being a copy-cat character, the exiled ninja ambushed the Mugen-Tenshin clan to steal their special technique: the Torn Sky Blast.

Fucking awesome trailer. Too bad it had to be spoiled with the MR portion.

And that wasn't Leon's P+K. That was his pre 5 P+K (now 7P).
Bass' 236P H+P without the punch. And his P+K.
And a bounce Bayman 4K.
Modified Ein 6KK. 6P.
Gen Fu high punch hold. I want to say mid punch hold too at the Cliffhanger.
Pretty cool juggle effect on that Ayane/Crimson section.

Music is awesome too.

Nice. TLOU is one of the best games I've ever played. I still haven't finished it on Survivor difficulty yet. Too hard.

I can't wait for DOA5: LR either!

 

So Raidou is back and reimagined. Very interesting concept and the trailer was hype of fuck. I like the remix of Dead or Alive (the theme). Can't wait to see how he handles and if he'll gain a cult following.

 

Omg DOA1 theme is back and sounds freaking awesome! My excitement for LR is through the freaking roof now!

 

they better give tina some DOA2 alternative costumes.

lol, his PB is classic!

 

Another amusing part is the material his hand is made out of.

 

Cool, most of his moves are original, pretty much like DOAD. I love how they remixed his theme, sounds really good. His design is awesome, especially after seeing him in motion. I know he'll have some cool moves that wasn't displayed.

Hayate gettin a woopin....

 

The trailers of Raidou is epic, seeing Raidou being put together by Donovan (considering the remains he had left from the explosion) and seeing him in action was pretty extreme.

There was even the Marie Rose exploring around the beach which was cute. I'm pretty hype for DOA5LR and can't wait to see more details.
