The PS5 exclusive I am excited for next year is Rise of the Ronin and it's basically an open world Ghost of Tsushima with Team NINJA signatures. Team NINJA is introducing a mechanic in this title that involves the player romancing other characters. According to the leak source it's more on a progression level with Harvest Moon than something cheap and quick like Fable. Team NINJA is taking it very seriously and could potentially use romancing systems in future games.
Fable II's romance system was uninvolved, but with Harvest Moon you had to build the relationship through presents, knowing their interests, story progression, answering questions correctly and whatnot.
