Why do so many people dislike the VF cast?

Well that's great! Jacky gives me the most problems out of the four, but it's not too bad. Sarah not so much because I know her so well. Also I've noticed that a lot of competent Sarah players like to use the same tactics. Jacky is the same way, so I guess just look to see what strings they do and just remember that a good deal of players will either use them often or only make slight variations to them.
You'll catch some every once in a while that can whip out mix-ups randomly without too much trouble.
Overall there is a simple answer to this question:
Why would people like the VF cast more than the characters of their own game. I play DOA to play as DOA characters. The VF games inspired DOA, that's why they are in DOA. They are respectable guest characters, and probably the best guest characters I've ever seen in a fighting game. But I play DOA for DOA, and as a character loyalist I wouldn't wanna worry about my character making it to the next game.
