Speaking of differentiate...I disliked Leon/Bayman swapping between said moves from DOA2-DOA4, here's hoping DOA5 will widen the gap and make them vastly different.

Granted one can go in-depth as to saying Leon doesn't have Bayman's Advance Holds and requires a more defensive approach thus making them strangers in the move department but most people know the similarity in these characters which I have faith Tecmo will address.

Actually that would be politically correct.... and only if you're a school teacher or a stuck-up jackass.

Grammatically, "he" "him" or "his" are always assumed when speaking about an unknown gender. So the next time somebody corrects you about the "him or her" deal, tell him to go fuck himself.

Actually, using the plural form "them" in a sentence where the singular form "him" or "her" would be appropriate, would be grammatically incorrect.

Although 'them' is typically used, unfortunately it's not grammatically correct. It would be correct if you were using it in place of 'him and her', because 'them' is plural tense, not singular.

But whatever, enough of the grammar police. Move on.

I also think Akira would have been enough VF. I like Ein and Tengu but they don't make sense as far as plot goes. I'm not excited in the least bit about Alpha. Nude toothpaste Kasumi could be replaced with a better character.

Yea Alpha-152 wasn't exactly stellar but seeing as how She/It/Colgate survived in DOA4's true ending, we'll once again be seeing her smug as an importance to the Story.

the game's character list is quite nice the way it is ..
tengu and ein (and the rest of vf .. *wink wink ) will be missed ..

I would love to see a DLC character update in like 3-4 months after release..
despite sf4AE being crap with balance .. having the 4 characters was a blast, (even though 2 of them were clones of former selves and 2 shared the same model) .. then reality hit us when yun and yang were found to be broken >__>

The amount of work needed to make the Akira play like Akira in DOA5 must have been astounding. To waste all that work on a single character seems, well, a waste of resources and opportunities.

Alpha 152 is not playable in DOA5, at least according to the information in the demo's files. All the characters leaked have six outfits except for Alpha, who has one. If Alpha was intended to be playable, she would have a minimum of two. Of course, this could change but based on what's in the demo, she's not intended to be playable.

hell after playing FS now I really wish we can acctually have more than just 3 ...
the game and the character complexity is incredible !

I would've liked to see the drunken style fighter Shun from VF make it to DOA5. Tag battles with him and Brad Wong would've been epic.

I'm glad to see that Lisa is returning because she really fits my play style.

I think it was an intelligent decision on Team Ninja's part to bring in more than one VF character. Drawing VF players towards DOA, and encouraging DOA players to explore VF will definitely work out for the best. Being an Akira player, I'm pleased that at least one of my characters made the cut.

Aside from Ryu and Ken, I'm not a fan of clones. I agree that Alpha can and should be replaced by any number of characters. I'm glad to see the VF characters...but I'd still like to see at least 2 new DOA characters. Usually we get 2 new legit characters, and a clone so I'm not worried, but it'd be nice to see a teaser of our new comer.

It'd be funny if one of them was 'Kelly'.

You just gave me a mental image of a stage like the Danger Zone, but with tooth paste tubes along the walls where the missiles usually are. Every time you get knocked into one, Alpha gets squeezed out of the top and covers the arena floor with a gelatin that causes slip stun.

But they could still be included, just not a part of story mode. DOA 4 still had Leon, Ein, Tengu, Gen Fu, and Spartan playable, even though none of them had anything to do with the story.

That said, if one of the new characters is just Nicole's move set, I will be displeased. That would essentially mean we'd only have one truly new character. I think that's unlikely though, so as it stands, I'm fine with 2 new characters and 3 VF characters (assuming the leaked list is accurate).

They COULD use Nicole's fighting style for Rachel from Ninja Gaiden, that would be epic.

She has nothing to do with doa.
Hell muramasa, the old blacksmith dude has more to do with the game since he fricken showed up in doa4s story mode. If any ng character should pop up its him. The rest can shove it.

I'd rather have unique styles like eileens monkey style from vf or hakans oil wrestling style from sf4, not some bimbo giant with a made up move list.
