See? This is why I despise Tengu, and I was already heavy on the "meh" with the guy. Why the hell so serious? Who pissed in your coffee and took a dump in your wheaties?
If they don't care for Tengu, then it's not their problem, that's life, shit happens.

I'd rather take a whole new Tengu that actually looks like something from Ninja Gaiden that actually looks fierce, intimidating and badass(or even that female Tengu from a few pages back), or just drop off Shiden or Raidou then this crappy excuse of a character.

I know people like the guy but please, DON'T SPEAK FOR THE FANBASE! Leon and Ein actually IS popular and that is obvious, but I barely even hear from Tengu players till now and even then, it's mainly you guys, who the hell is "most"?
I'm not trying to get pissed, but reading from where I dropped off sharply dropped my opinion of Tengu because damn, you guys are freaking immature of the whole thing.

You like Tengu? Fine, but don't whine and complain if they don't re-add him back because for "completion sake" despite having the exact same moveset since DOA2 and being dead and having nothing even compared to DOA's bosses.

The malicious atmosphere here will only get worse as time passes. Desperation will reach its peak as we are steadily one character slot closer from legitimately being done with adding more characters. Right now tension is running high and that @deathofaninja message is just the tip of the iceberg. Right now the dogs (who were otherwise good-natured before) are violently fighting for the scraps to get x character in game before the gap closes for good and emotions will run high no matter the outcome.

Yoda explains this situation well
This will be a long six months, but that's ok since I'm looking forward to this ride wherever it takes me.

Precisely. From my point of view, even if Raidou was kinda dull, we got enough mystic bs going on in this game as it is, and that's why I don't want Tengu. However, I don't represent anyone but myself, if Tengu's fans are really enough for it to happen, I just have to deal with it. I still agree pretty much that he sounds like a thing to come by again.

Thank you, Mr. Wah. It's still upsetting that this was their way of telling us he wasn't going to be in the game but at least now we have an answer and can move on.

Who are you to say something like that? Team NINJA said that I said I claimed that I was the reason the game was even alive (lol cause I'm soooo good). I didn't say that. I said the community kept it alive, and sometimes they don't realize that. When I said I would scratch, bite and tear my way to Tengu's arrival I wasn't lying. I don't care what I have to say, I don't care what I need to do.

When somebody stabs me with a knife, they can try turning it but I will spit blood in their face if they try, as I attempt to pull it out. Team NINJA tends to do this a lot, and every now and then I blow up because of it. I represent the game the best way I can, and I'm dedicated to Team NINJA's games. So watch what you say and do your research, and if you want to take this further send me a PM, because I have no desire to start anything with you.

Infact, they want us to beg before they stab us.

Man it's been 2 years almost and i cant believe it people just cant move on. And what's worst is that this is Tengu and and the whole game along with the fanbase and developers work together like a super safety niche like it's a good thing and it is not, it is just digging yourself in a hole and staying there.

Now IMO i think that this means they will definitely bring him back, lots of jokes on April first dont stay just jokes, and we can finally move on to something bigger like making of DOA6 maybe, i dont really know or just stop digging niche holes and fell comfortable in them. It's easy when 10 people shout of course i can hear you, now try being a developer in EA for Mass Effect 3 ending or capcom for not including megaman in....... (well killing him actually).

And Leon was in the source code for the original game, he was left out because there was no time for completion of the game on time. And going by basic salesman entrepreneurship for fighting games today it was obvious that he would be brought back.

Why would I think about DOA6 when I'm still improving day by day in DOA5 and new characters are on the way? Asking for DOA6 now, is like saying I don't like DOA5 and want a different game... oh shit.
