Marie Rose costume is great but I am wondering why they don't give her a towel DLC too? They try to show something but it is obviously dumb. If I am not wrong she is 18 years old so they can turn her into bitch too. But I know they will make her bitch in next game just like they did with other little DOA girls.

Well, that's the thing... anyone with eyes can tell she isn't 18 her facial structure and body is completely different from say Ayane who is 18.
Her face is alot smaller and her eyes are bigger and more childlike, where as Ayane looks like an adult.
Chances are they say she's 18 to avoid further complexities like the Sweden Child Porn issues like with Dimensions because it had characters who were 16 and 17.

I'm surprised everyone complains about fetish dlc, considering the doa series has always been marketed to horny, straight, teenage boys. I mean what did you expect? Stuff like this sells the best to their primary market. I believe TN has already stated that nobody bought the male fetish dlc despite the disproportionately large outcry for it and I guess there are similar low sales for regular costume dlc, possibly due to the price point.

Anyway, people who are complaining about it are forgetting one thing; this extra dosh TN makes is what is funding the dlc characters a year after release when the casuals (read: primary customers) have moved on to other games. More importantly, this is what's funding the HUGE $8000 pot bonus at TFC, the $500 pot bonus at SJ8, the free all expenses paid trips to TFC the TN is paying for. All this for a ridiculously small niche community. Fighting games themselves are extremely niche compared to other competitive video games and doa is the niche of the niche, yet TN still supports it a whole bunch. That's admirable and if this kind of dlc is what funds this support, then I for one welcome our new scantily-clad overlords.

That being said, TN, when's my OL dlc coming?

I just checked their page and they deleted all of them except for Rachel and Leifang. I don't think it's just Marie Rose... they were getting a lot of backlash, so honestly I think they know their mistake...

I'll get hate mail and I will piss people off for this opinion but as of this point i don't care, if this is now the direction we're going in i am honestly ok with this game dying.

doa4 was considered one of the nails in this games coffin and now we're getting to a point where we have a towel for dlc when this game is already under bad rep for it's oversexuality.

I will defend the bikinis because some creative process went into them, people may dislike helena's godfather outfit but creativity went into this outfit. People may dislike lisa's Artemis outfit but creativity went into it. I'd terrified to see what is coming new for the dlc which you know what people aren't getting it's a fucking insult. It's a fucking insult the lack of creativity that went into this. You can argue with marie's costume but you have no excuse for helena's, tina's or ayane's.

If this is now how this game has to stay afloat to live, i'd prefer it dying after nyo-tengu.

I'm not angry, and I certainly don't hate you. But I must ask you this... did you happen to see @RoboJoe's rather reasonable and logical post before you made this one?

There's an old saying that things will get worse before it gets better. Weather the storm, keep on pushin', and believe in the clear skies ahead. Such are the fruits of labor that paid off for some people here, such as @Brute and @Max536Drago. But it can only be done proper if you do so in a productive manner and convincing others to share in your plight. Crying wolf in a forum never helped then, and it won't help now.

Whether or not it negates your cynicism even a little, I will say this. Thank you in part for relieving me of my own negativity.

Well...I don't know why they would be surprised. Putting aside how tired everyone is of copy paste fetish packs, we are all anxious to see the costume contest results and dlc, and instead they roll out "a towel". How could they expect anything except a unanimous "are you shitting me?!"

If they had all been unique full pajamas like Mr, kokoro, etc, with like mila and a couple older girls getting the "oversized shirt" then fine, but towels?!

There's a fine line between "fans supporting continued dlc" and "companies trying to abuse fan support".

you're taking this too seriously. lame DLC will not kill a game,however people getting pissed off and not playing anymore because of lame DLC will kill a game.

You already seen this with the Gym Outfit and the Nurse Outfit and you are blowing the gasket NOW? Just do us all that favor and seriously go, just go.

If this is all that it takes for you to snap...dear god, I don't want to see you play Soul Calibur or any other game that does the same fanservice shtick. Nevermind TN making certain they own TFC, nevermind them trying their damnest to be competitive, just whine about DLC choices without even bothering to get your voice heard. Hell, people on FACEBOOK is doing a better job of showing how fucked up TN did with the Towel DLC(which I don't hate in the least) compared to you. So seriously, you can either stay here and continue to whine until half of us just wants you to leave, you can man up and continue staying a member here with dignity, or just leave and save us the trouble...

Now that that's out of the way, I do accept the apologies of RyuxSama and Derga as I seriously don't want to continue that further, I seriously doubt them deleting Marie Rose's picture confirms shit especially when they deleted everyone else's pics right afterwards and this whole thing is spiralling hard.
