Removing the capability from the majority is still an improvement.
As someone who's live through the days where trying to share any sort of footage was a pain (and making any sort of living from them was flat out impossible), I cannot agree with this. Any thing that makes recording and sharing footage of the game only helps the game and its community in the long run. What we have now with modern consoles (and PC, don't forget that Steam also allows you to stream footage) is an "enabler" that allows players to be more than just passive consumers of content but rather, helps them actively contribute in the discourse that is the competitive development of a fighting game.

Additionally, streaming is fast becoming the lifeblood of Esports. If you want to be able to make a living as a player, then the ability to stream is a must. Now it used to be that PC games had a larger share of this, thanks to the fact that streaming from the PC used to be easier (since you didn't need dedicated hardware). Players of traditionally console centric genres such as fighting games, had to get past the barrier that was the need for a capture device. However, thanks to the technology in todays consoles, that's no longer the case. Console and PC players alike can easily stream their gameplay.

Wat.
It's like there's nothing going on over at the PS3 side, needs more jiggling. Seriously though, I didn't know they added a new boob option.

It was part of that "soft engine" stuff they've been talking about a lot, I think. I don't think it's a new option, it's just how it works now.

Hey @Tyaren, what breast motion setting is that for? Natural I'm assuming. DOA usually has a little bit more bounce and OMG is...well, you know. But the physics for the breasts look amazing on current gen hardware. I need this game in my life, like, NOW!!!

I don't know, what the PS3 setting is in that video. :/ But yeah, probably natural. The biggest improvement isn't the extremer bouncyness though, I think. It looks, as if they have fixed the sometimes too slow motion of the breasts. Did you notice, that sometimes, when the girls were moving really fast, the breast bounce would lag behind? It looked really weird, when the girls for example would jump high, were at their highest point, but the breasts would still be be pressed down. In Last Round the breasts seem to react faster and more "natural". Just as two huge water balloons would react in real live. ;)

I forgot to ask, but what are the stage themes for Crimson and Danger Zone?
IIRC from streams, Jann Lee's DOA2 theme (Natural High) is the top level and his DOA3 theme (Trip) is the bottom level of Crimson. The Danger Zone stage has Dead or Alive Redux. It's the remix of Raidou's theme that isn't assigned to him by default. It was in the showcase video of him versus Hayate.

It was part of that "soft engine" stuff they've been talking about a lot, I think. I don't think it's a new option, it's just how it works now.
It's a new option. The option is called "soft" in the Japanese version and just "LR" in other versions.

My first Impressions so far:
My impressions are at the moment limited due only playing the trial version.

Graphics:
Graphically, Last Round is MUCH better than Ultimate you can definitely see the difference, and with the improved lighting the characters just look amazing. I just wish you had the option to add the Alpha Demo blur then it would be really awesome.

Gameplay:
Kasumi is easier to play, combos are now a little less hectic which will be good for new/casual players who most will go straight to the icon of DOA.

Ayane is also better to play, with that BT PP6P refloat it's a bit better to do BT juggles.

Hayabusa doesnt really feel that much different, mostly just unsafer.

Hayate's gameplay is definitely cool. definitely considering subbing him.

Unlockables:
So far, I've unlocked the WO3U themes and Ignition. since I havent played Online once the stages are still locked to me and since online is the only mode I haven't played I assume DOA1 themes are unlocked via online also.

Good shit, but lol HTF can the xbone not render a last gen game at 60fps? I wonder if there's any other differences between ps4 and xbone

I'm only playing the trial on Xbone, but as far as I can tell, the intros/outros look the same as the regular game.

Just played a lobby match with someone who had one open (lol really?). That match wasn't laggy so much as it was just slooooooow. Everything was just slow with the match, as in take the 60 fps and stretch it out over the course of a second and a half kind of slow. If not for how slow it was the response to button inputs itself was pretty good.
