I don't have particularly high hopes but I do hope Ramza can make the cut

He's not particurly powerful, but like everyone else he was able to mix match classes to become dam terrifying. my friend turned him into a high level dragoon/mechanic/ninja which made him able to jump on trees while dual wielding pistols gunning everyone down since his range and angle was so good from being in a dam tree.
still waiting for Ashe, Fran, Rikku, Paine, and Fang all to be playable pls.

Haha as if I had a friend who played XIII-2.Jokes on you. I borrowed a friend's copy.
Still bought XIII, though.
Was it just me who was disappointed by the gameplay of XIII/XIII-2?
I was disappointed too. With the combat, that is.
When I saw the FFXIII trailer I thought it would be an action RPG like the Tales of series or at least Kingdom Hearts, Nope, it's ATB menu combat. And you can't even move around unless there's a command for it. I like turn-based combat just fine, but ATB has to be the worst implementation of it. It's also real grindy especially when it came to boss battles since you had to level up otherwise they could OHKO you. I was really glad that Lightning Returns was somewhat of an action RPG with actual button presses.
What was good about the combat system was Paradigm Shifts and elemental weaknesses. That really helped with the monotony of the gameplay.
Still hate the Crystarium though. It's a terrible skill tree system with absurd point costs (which results in the terribad grinding). Dungeons was ehh. If there were puzzles or story quests included it would have helped a lot instead of a line of enemies to rush through to get to the next cutscene.
I hope and pray FFXV doesn't have as frustrating a leveling system. It's an open world action RPG so it's already a plus from me.
Yeah, gameplay wise I can't stand XIII... but I freaking love literally everything else about it.
Lightning Returns gave me literally nothing to hate
- YOu play as Lightning from start - finish
- It has a deep refreshed Stagger system that pushes for tactical attacks and encourages being skillful
- Manual block
- Thanks to the Schema(Customisation) you can resuit Lightning to be literally any class for any situation.
- It's challenging and Hard mode is a bitch
- a NG+ actually worth replaying (Hard mode and upgradable weapons/accessories)
- Fantastic side missions that were interesting
- Great hidden dungeon
- fantastic cast of bosses, Caius being a total badass as always and completely wrecked me my first playthrough
Honestly don't understand why LR still gets alot of hate
