Tekken

IIRC, I think the reasons 2P costumes are just recolors is due to customization being such a heavy partof of the game since Tekken 5. The customization feature hasbeen gotten deeper with each release.

Which is a really dumb reason. This better change in time for console release, or tournaments will be ugly to watch.

All they have to do is make the unique custom items as 2P costumes. It ain't stop them last time.

Anyway

Yeah, I don't think she's coming back. Jun is still "missing" after all.

I don't think the story matters too much, it's about popularity. Looking at some polls Kuni is always pretty high on the list, although I don't see her online that much so I don't know how accurate they are. But if either Jun or Kuni doesn't make it in I'm totally boycotting this game for realz.

This kind of bother's me. Because, a lot of people wished for Jun Kazama back in the days of TTT2 when it was initially announced. Yet, a lot of people do not play her (and it is not like she is really a bad character either, because I play her on many ocassions, even at the European tournaments I used to go to). I can understand that if a character was legitimately bad then the players would not utilize them in the tournament settting. I will go as far as to say that earlier on, there were quite a lot of Jun/Asuka teams online. Another thing to note, that it is a relatively common team that Jun is associated with.
At some point, I would also like to see Kuni and Jun make it into the game.
In a way, it's like players are asking for... R.Mika in a new SF game... just to play Ryu and Ken against them.

The problem I had with Jun in TTT2 was not that she returned, but rather she wasn't the Jun I knew from Tekken 2.
She is nothing like the old Jun, nature loving and peaceful, instead she's all cold and reserved.

Look who is back.

> Jack-7 has a brand new wall throw that looks extremely useful for finishing long term combos at the wall.
> Has a new move out of Cyclone Hammer (1+2) that has Screw Attack properties.
> ub+1+2 is a Power Crush now.
> Has a new string that seems to look like some sort of low punch that goes into d1+2. (Actually, the low looks like df1+2 into d1+2).
> There is possibly a buff on ff1 (not sure about this, because the move was actually meant to be minus on block according to TTT2).
> Screw Attack seems to allow Jack-7 for much better combo options compared to the bound state, thus giving a indirect buff, based on the game mechanics.
> Appears to have a new move where he similar performs a punch with his right arm (it is a 2 input)... whatever that move is it looks like it is plus frames on block.
> 12 is a Screw Attack

And also... LOL at the folks who thought that Jack-7 was not going to be present in the game because of Gigas... hence why we must not jump to conclusions.

Actually, according to that leak (which has been pretty accurate so far) Kazumi and a female character that looks like Jaycee will be next.

Never been a Jack fan but this has to be his goofiest design yet... I think I recall Harada saying they're targeting younger gamers with T7, but I wonder if even a 12 year old would find some of these characters appealing.

Yup the game is much easier now having heard all the Korean and japan players talking about the mind games of Tekken easy, and also getting beaten by randoms during arcade matches. Moves that you could side step now you can't, all this just to gain more players because of Harada thoughts on 3d fighting game community.

Just because a game is becoming more accessible to newcomers doesn't mean that it can't be deep. VF is a 3 button fighting game, but is considered one of the most complex games out there. Really regret not playing Tekken 7 at Final Round.
