Where are the veterans¿

For some reason, i thought you always were a Jann main, lol. But now that you mention it, I do remember you picking her playing her pretty well. Besides, I thought this was a thread for vets who dropped off the map completely, otherwise I could mention a lot of active Lei players too. You wouldn't want me saying "man, that Undead guy was pretty good, where is he?", ha

Other names for Lei players I do remember were Punishere, Nykko, Viper (he mained Tina if I remember, but I had damn fun playing with him so I had to mention his name).

I know I probably forgot a lot more, but like Undead said, its been like 7 or 8 years since a lot of have started playing, so you have to excuse me if my memory is a little fuzzy. Hell, I've graduated high school and college since I first started playing in I think 2004. Its crazy just thinking about how long this game has been in my life.

If 2O2F is "too old to fight" I might be interested in that too.
I'm definetly old and I'm not too far from Toronto. As long as poor reflexes are tolerated - ;)

I've probably lurked (at least parts of) this community for the last 12 years - lol (DOA2HC was a launch game for PS2, right?)

I've played with Sundown, Awesmic (sorry, I'll try to do better), Mamba, I think it was "phoenix" something (don't have my xBox to look up the tag, sorry again, commercial heli-pilot ... and I'm sure many others and it's always been awesome.
Hope I get to play with lots more of you :)

Indeed, 2O2F was a Too Old To Fight clan. :)
And heck yeah, we would always just play for fun, never got too serious in the whole clan match stuff.
Lemme know what your GT is and I'll send you a friend's request.

If Nimble's still around, tell him I'm still interested.

I haven't forgotten the promise I made 7 years ago.

Nimble is, as a matter of fact. We were just talking about DOA5 on FB a few days ago. He's pre-ordered the CE. I'll give him a heads up. Now, if I can find out what happened to Shadowfox.....

I'm a bit lacking in skills here, so I couldn't find where or how to reply by PM, sorry.
PSN id is Ooobe and GT is same, but I haven't had/been on live for years now and hardly even game anymore - though come fall I know I'll be spending way too much time with DOA5 :)

I am not a veteran, as I have been playing DOA actively for the past 3 years I believe. I don't have a robust history with the series though like most people. My 1st taste of it was back in 2001 after DOA3 dropped. My older cousin was having trouble doing a Kasumi combo and I did it for him lol. After that I rarely played it cuz I had no Xbox. It wasn't until 2009 that I revisited the series, I noticed a friend had bought it so I decided to do the same. And as they say the rest is history, I simply fell in love with the game and eventually I collected the rest of the games for my Xbox. And still to this day it's my favorite FG franchise ever. The only thing I regret is not owning an Xbox back in the day for DOA2U, I could have met so many more people in the community. But oh well, I'm just glad to be here. Hopefully in the near future I will meet some of you guys, if all goes well in the NAVY. I just recently enlisted and I ship out in November. I'll definitely try to make it out as much as possible ;)

I'm sorry :(

Also, if you don't know who the veterans are, just look in the thread, almost everyone mentioned and/or that posted here has been playing for fuck ass ever, and most of them have been considered high level players.

I dont know if anyone remembers me but I'll be back. I'll need to try and get up with some Korean and maybe Japanese players at first though since im in Korea till January. After that I'll be in the UK for a few years so ill try to jump into that scene if possible.

Lakenheath. So not too far from London.

Nice, Lakenheath is a pretty big base and all the main stuff is over there. I was at Mildenhall which is a nice base too but it was way smaller, had to drive to Lakenheath if you ever needed anything lol. Lakenheath only sucks if you work on the flight line since it's a fighter base and they stay pretty busy =P

Yeah im a flightliner but they have 15's there which is such an incredibly nicer and easier jet to work on compared to the 16's Ive been on here in Korea. So yeah, im looking forward to it alot.

There are free flights from Korea to Misawa, Japan, don't know how long you've been there but you should come to TGS with me man.

It'd be nice if the guys I played DOA2 with in the arcade will be getting DOA5, but I can only think of 2 of them that still play any games, and only 1 plays DOA. Most of them have moved on. If all goes well we can expect Veterans from other fighting games to be playing DOA5.

I started playing DOA in 2000 on the DOA2 demo (Generator Vol. 2) that came with my Dreamcast. I was 12 years old. I joined my first DOA forum, Neotaku, sometime in 2003. I wouldn't be til September 11, 2005 that I'd join up with DOACentral.

Lol Neotaku. I used to lurk there way back in the day. The only person I really remember from there is Jim Vengeance since he used to post a ton.
