While it would definitely suck, I wouldn't mind too much.

Gives me more time with The Witcher 3 and everything coming out in October, although I think it could be fake.

November 29th? That's kind of long but if it is a true delay than so be it. That gives them more time to make the game as good as possible unlike certain other games. XD

If it is delayed then there isn't really anything we can do about it so we'll jusat have to deal with it but I really hope it just isn't.

Yeah me too, I really hope it's not delayed, but you know, we already waited a long time for this to come out, waiting another 2 months is not going to bug me that much. Also, I think it's definitely fake, I mean.... the release date was one of the main things (if not the main purpose) of the uncovered event, and they even started announcing DLC (season pass), there would be no reason to speak about DLC 4 months before its release, right? xD

The uncertainty of this delay being true or not is killing me. There are sources who claim it is true, other sources say it is BS. Apparently we will only know on Monday when the announcement is supposed to be made. It would be hugely disappointing and embarrassing if this turns out to be true. Square Enix had the biggest release date announcement event in gaming history with the Uncovered Event. They made all this fuss and now 6 weeks before release they are sneakily overturning that? Tabata switched places with Nomura exactly to prevent something like this happening again. In other forums, like Neogaf, this game is already a laughing stock, I won't defend it after this anymore. .__.
Thinking about this further, this completely messes up their whole elaborate and super expensive marketing plan. Kingsglaive already released in certain places. It was meant to be seen next to the game, not a quarter of a year earlier. Many bundles rely on Kingsglaive being in the box with the game. I won't buy the Deluxe Edition anymore if I've seen the movie somewhere else before. The next and last Brotherhood episode comes out soon...it will totally be forgotten 3 months later as well. Their Gamescom presence next week will also surely be a very uncomfortable thing to behold, since this is were they would have to break the news to the fans. *sigh*

Does gamescom start on Monday? o why is the game a laughing stock on neogaf? But yeah if the delay is true it will mess up quite a few things they'd planned. I'm staying hopeful that it is actually wrong though.

Gamescom starts on Wednesday, two days after the "great news". Many fans that don't scour the internet for news about this game all day will learn of the delay there and then. Tabata will have to explain himself there instead of just throwing out an epic trailer and demo as he was supposed to. No way they can just sneakily add a "Releases November 29th" at the end of the trailer or any promotion poster without anyone noticing.

Literally every thread about Final Fantasy XV is ridiculed because many still believe it is "vaporware". They also think it looks horrible, mostly in it's IQ and framerate and the battle system is crap. In literally every JRPG thread there are hundreds of "This is so much better than FFXV." comments. It's become a meme already... .__. I wouldn't even care that much but that forum is the best place for any news, info, videos or screens on the internet. Most material I share in here, from any game, comes straight from there.

Welp, the German official FFXV Facebook page just promoted the game 12 minutes ago mentioning the same old September date... And they should know, they are at the moment working on the Gamescom presentation of the game.

I definitely mind, I ordered the Ultimate Collector's edition for $240+Shipping and placed on the game release waiting list and they expect me to wait once more?

I want to play the story, find super strong secret optional bosses, and make builds here already dammit.

I completely understand you, it's just not a game I'm super excited for. I just wanna play it and hope its alot better than it looks atm.

If it was Persona 5 I'd be in your shoes, I've preordered the Collectors Edition of that game and have been waiting a few years also.

So several Gamestop employees published photos of fresh promotion material that just came in the last couple of days and that was supposed to be put up upcoming Monday. They all use the current release date:

Since everything says the original release date it makes me feel more like it won't get delayed.
