As promised, I played SF6 during Steam's 2-hour trial period. Did I keep the game? It's pretty fun, but I couldn't allow myself to invest $60 into a fighting game that won't satisfy my craving. I need to use that money to give Team Ninja's DOA6 the polish it deserves. I will buy Street Fighter 6 again when it goes on sale for $10-20.

More thoughts on SF6 and this match:
This person plays at a higher level than the two I fought in the last video.
I was getting frustrated in this session because of the tactics he used. But I adapted and overcame him. This was the final match of the session. The wins and losses were close.

SF6
I dove straight into ranked and casual matchmaking. I didn't pay attention to anything else outside of settings. I practiced a bit with Ryu in the demo so I could familiarize myself with the game before release.

I was getting angry when I lost because I shouldn't be forced to learn a new fighting game because MINE is bad. I wanted to run but could only crawl.
All the time I put into practically mastering the intellectual side of DOA. I want to play DOA, not this game that is foreign to me. So that was irking me the entire time I was competing against veteran SF6 players.
But I persevered and got more comfortable with Ryu's moves and the combat system.
As my knowledge of the game increased, a familiar feeling crept up on me.
As predicted, SF6 is just a more technical version of $m@sh Br0th*rs.
Even though it was fun, I started getting bored...

I'm out of space, so I'll wrap this up.
I will not be satisfied with a "good" fighting game. I need DOA because it is the only GREAT fighting game. No other fighting game has holds and fluid 3D movement. Team Ninja, step up your game.

Bayman
-Mid parry damage lowered by half.
-Side Attack damage nerf from 30 to 15. Does not cause a wall hit. +1 guard break (will make negative in the future).
-41236T damage nerf from 72 to 50.
-5T damage buff from 50 to 72.
-4T damage nerf from 18-30 to 6-28.
-Tank Roll offensive hold damage nerf from 35 to 23. Third part increased by leftover amount.
-Various offensive hold buffs and nerfs.
-9P+K gains a +3 guard break but cannot fatal stun an opponent already in critical stun
-Not a full mod. More to be done at a later date.

Nyotengu
-Sidestep attack guard break reduced from +11 to -3.
-Removed Wall-Hit: 5K, PP6P, PP4P, 6K, Fly cancel H+K, 46P, 66P, and 4H+K (uncharged).
-66T (wall) offensive hold damage reduced to 10-10.
-66T (wall) Follow-Up Strike damage increased from 10 to 20.
-Backward knockdown during juggle: 46P+K, 6PPP.
-Launching throw damage reduced from 30 to 16.

Break System
1. The Sidestep Attack damage and effects vary by character (nerfed in general). Slow characters will cause a negative guard break. All Side Attacks will be UNABLE to wall splat.

Danger Zones
1. Very few strikes cause a wall splat (dash attacks, slow strikes, certain launchers, etc)
2. Check the DOA6++ patch notes. I borrowed their BASE bin file… because I like it ;)
-Basically, breakable boxes on the stage put you into a backward tumble state rather than an unholdable sit-down stun.

Fighting System

8. Launching throws weakened or given more difficult commands (most are removed from the game until I have enough money to pay my modder(s) to learn how to change the commands easily)
Nyotengu: 41236T is now 61234T

9. Most Fatal Stun methods reworked to only affect low holding opponents in critical stun. Slow mid fatal stun strikes will be safe on block.

12. Quick Strikes will not deep stun on either ch or critical stun. Strikes within a move string may cause light “Flinch-Stun” like DOADimensions and DOA4. The first strike of a move string can still be used to extend stuns as usual (except for jabs).

13. Many combo enders will now put the opponent into a backward knockdown state to make it easier to force them off of the ground if they try to stall (work-in-progress).

Fixes
-Nyotengu’s oppressive Sidestep guard break was nerfed.
-Nyotengu’s wall throw damage adjusted again.

The stronger my opponent, the more fun I'll have.

This is the TRUE Evolution of Fighting Entertainment
These aren't necessarily features I would put into the DOA7 "reboot" if I was designing it. But it's a mod, so I don't have absolute creative freedom.
