Pretty much. Which is why most Fei players stick with U1 since you can FADC it, but I like his U2 more since it makes you feel more like Bruce Lee. His fighting style was more about reading his opponents movements, not so much doing flip kicks all the time. :p But yeah you got to have good Oki to properly utilize it.

Lol i'm aware of how it works it's just seems so risky like doing ultra 2 into sweep distance i dunno, there are really good sets up like chicken wing into it, too much yolo imo

@ Yurlungur, I use to play Fei Long since he was my secondary. His U2 is pretty much a counter ultra like Cammy's U2. You can use it to counter certain attacks. However, it will not work against moves that are armor-breaking such as Ryu's Tatsumaki Senpukuyaku or Honda's headbutt. Nor will it work against projectiles for obvious reasons.

To be fair, Street Fighter is one of the more difficult 2D fighters out there to pick up imo. Mostly because its been out for such a long time now, so most people are veterans. SF4 makes it a bit easier with the focus system and the ridiculous reversal window, but even with these, there are plenty of factors to consider.

Fei is fun, or at least for me. My execution isn't very good, so having to learn how to do 3 QCF in a row without throwing a jump took some time. Once that was figured out I worked on getting some links off CW, you can see it's my main avenue of attack, I love the cl.HP xx FP.FK so much I look like I'm Ken half these matches. The moment I tested out all his taunts I was excited to find taunt #8 lays down, and actually takes your hitboxes with you. Most of my losses were due to me dicking around, trying to see what crap I could duck under.

I had a difficult time getting in as Fei some times, if their defense was too solid my Rekkas didn't feel safe on block, and while I managed to do my command throw/roll over their back thing, I don't understand the timing of it, the only thing I can get out fast enough is a FK, which doesn't seem very useful given what the move looks like it should do. *Note: this is because I'm bad, I'm pretty sure there are a lot of uses for that move*

Thanks to everyone who sent back mail during the making of this video, if I ran into you please send me a message telling me what character you think I should do next. I will probably be taking a break for Thanksgiving, can't lug the PS3 and fightstick down to CA.
