She could be either, pre-Mila the MMA she (Tina) was arguably the most versatile character in the game (since she can be used as either a grappler or brawler IMHO). You didn't do anything wrong, your victory proves this. That you're using her more offensive is a good twist & something you should keep in the back of your head for strategy/mind-game purposes in the future. The average opponent you'll encounter will expect your Tina to be defensive as opposed to offensive since she's usually used in that manner, how quickly they adapt & how quick YOU in turn adapt to THEM will decide your victories & loss ratio.
As far as actual advice, simple common sense. Look for those players who use "your" character(s) really well, ask them to teach you or play you, the worst they can do is say "no", but I've found those who've said "yes" to generally be sincere so long as you're sincere in wanting to learn. The other piece is to take a page from boxers; what is it that boxers do? They record their old matches, do the same, record your wins AND losses. Study those matches afterward, especially the losses. In the case of the losses play the "what if" game; what did you do that your opponent capitalized on? What did you tend to repeat that you got pummeled on, what worked, what didn't work... & so on.
Absolutely, I feel like she's defensive too, but it's so hard for me to play that way (I've always played more aggressive characters like Kasumi). Are you on PSN or Xbox?
this is just my opinion Tina's more defensive then offensive.. countering and going for grabs is your best bet. with a few occasional combos. because her strike is rather slow and easy to break through. i'd love to help you as her
