They do this in some Mario Party games too, lolz. I think it would help make tag teams that work well together/have special moves more obvious, plus it would be fun.

Well sometimes they look weird, but usually they look normal considering they are fighters and not dainty little things. I do think they could have made them look a little "cuter" on the girls though, but they don't look terrible. I think I'm just too used to the DOA4 animerz hands.
