I was planning on getting her a cake but she wanted to eat at a fancy restaurant so I'll be treating her there...

I wish I had the money to do that xD but that'll be a different story in the upcoming months ;-p

Actually well, some countries have a day earlier on Mother's Day. Some areas it's a completely different month (never knew about this actually surprisingly).

In the UK mother's day was 2 months ago

Yup, I was right. Didn't know UK had it two months earlier though lol.

Mother's day is so heavily promoted for people to spend money and buy, buy, buy.

I think it's important to treat your mother nice or even to a fancy dinner location or something. Sometimes it's not just about gifts or money imo, it's about time spending and affection for caring to mothers etc. Whenever Mother's Day appears, I think it's a day where if it wasn't for our mother we wouldn't even exist right now.

I dont need a day to tell me to take special care for my mama.

Mom wanted chocolate covered berries. Should be arriving tomorrow for her. Then Ill buy her another card thanking her for always believing in me and ultimately helping me realize the insane potential of life and the universe (which I continue to squander playing the vidya xD).
