Kinda you cant get anything big but it can lead into sonething big. Like in VF5: FS Pai is the only character I know of that has a combo off a low. CH 66P+K - 6KP7K - dash - 9KK. All the moves I listed are the same input as in this game just different properties. What I mean by can lead to something big. Is if your opponents back is to a wall. Then some lows will wall stagger if you land them.

Leading to a move that W! Into a massive wall combo. In SCIV some lows had block traps and tech traps connected to them. Also certain characters could do a sweep into one more hit for a whopping 2 hit combo. Nightmare was the only one to worry about his 1A leads into 236KK which W! or RO's in SCV it does the same but you need to use meter for it to do anything. In SCV there's a lot less block traps and tech traps.

I see. I was just wondering about it since I'm working on a blog for Hayate changes that should be made so that he can be a more viable character.

If he's going to be unsafe, he needs better tools, a low sweep that opens up is one of the ideas, but it's not going to be like Helena's 2H+K, it'll only be +15(+17) so that nothings guaranteed but it'll allow him to get pressure going.

On NH like in the last game. Helena's BKO sweep is kinda like that now, but it requires you to go back into the BKO stance, and it's also +19 instead but still SE able.

It's also 19i itself so... that's why it's such a good reset, she doesn't have a raw way into it though. Oh well.

In SC5 Viola can do a full combo from a low with proper orb setup. Some characters can relaunch off the ground after a low with meter. There are ways to do a lot of damage after a fairly slow low, but not a lot of ways.

-15 hurts a lot more in VF than it does in DOA.

Vanessa has DS1P+K, which on CH that leads to a little juggle (60+ dmg or so). It's a 22i ex low so it can be block with standing G. -1 on guard, so no complaints xD
Sarah has 2K+G. Again on CH leads to a little juggle. It's 20i. On block is -15. So yeah, no thanks.

Also, some lows when connect and the opponent is against a wall will produce stagger, which if not 'shaken' can be turned into heavy damaging wall combos.

I see a pattern here though. All of this is counter hit combos except with Nightmare I guess... or Viola. In Tekken, Jin gets a short combo off his Hell Sweep (Left Low Round House Kick) or Mental Alertness Sweep at the wall, all on NH. I didn't know if this happened in other games or not.

Mmm yeah, I remember one with Lei-Fei: 8P+K+G (Dokuritsu Shiki) 2K. 20 frames, -8 on block, stagger and removes high guard.

Ivy has a low sweep kick launcher in SCV iirc.
