That's that CGI pseudo anime, right? I have not seen much of it, but each time I do see a little snippet I wonder why people watch such ugly, cheap visuals when they can watch the real deal elsewhere. I figured the story and characters must be great for it still to be relatively successful and gaining as many fans.

It's a list of it and did get popular for small bits of reasons. But it wouldn't surprise me since that's the same guy that felt if a main character in a anime/show/game is a dude, then it's obviously toxic masculinity lol.

It just became huge because it's made by Rooster Teeth. The voice acting is trash because it was done by people who work at the company who have no background in VA work. I only watched part of the first season so things most likely changed but that's the way it was.

Visuals are better now compared to the first three seasons, they were very meh back then, now they're ok imo. People like(d) RWBY because many people like(d) the fight scenes that happen in the seasons on which Monty Oum worked on and the fight scenes that happen in Dead Fantasy, which he also made, others for the characters and/or the world that he, this guy and one more created.
