If there should be another DOA, the game would need to be made in earnest. DOA5 turned out relatively nice because this approach was ultimately chosen. The staff members (or PMO) that are taking charge of the DOA can either make a new game or administrate a remaster of a previous game.
But, something like this would only work on paper or in theory. And, we still need some more 3D fighting games on the board.
