What I've heard is that Ulthimas was not invited to the event, but when I asked the event organizer about it, he said he heard nothing about him continuing to play DOA. So, I'm going to assume that it was poor communication between players and organizer. It's a damn shame. Ultima Ivanov was also unable to attend, but he had some life problems he is sorting out according to the organizer.

Happy Ulthimas wasn't invited, he's a racist according to Emery Reigns and is one of the most toxic and rude players I've ever encountered besides Onryoki.

Ivanov tho is a shame, he seems like a promising Christie player so it would have been fun to see him play, hopefully next time since life does come first so I understand about that

While Ulthimas is indeed a bit dramatic he is not racist. I can confirm that. He had a bad encounter with Memphis Legends, and it got ugly, but Memphis started it and a lot of people were calling him homophobic afterwards. He's always ready to press someone, but I've also seen him do incredibly nice things that go unnoticed because of some of his trash talk.

I see, he's still not someone I personally like, after how he's treated me and my efforts to port mods into 6, I can't ever see any good in him and tend to ignore him but at least he's apparently not all bad. Ivanov is way more a loss imo since he's a mofe genuine DOA player, I pray he'll make a return soon since I enjoy players who are character loyalists most!

I talked to him about that instance with you and he admitted he fucked up. Ivanov is one of my favorite Christie players. Hidden gem.

I actually thought about creating a section for DOA6 regarding matches between two players in a FT5/FT10 (in the form of recording) a while back to help support Mark and Gill Hustle, Master wanted me to do something like this but I got caught up with other games and I mostly game in the night now due to new work location.

Not just any regular matches, according to Youtube's algorithm for 3D fighters sub tags, apparently I have the most 4K60 footages of all the 3D fighters weirdly (even more than Tekken), which is mostly DOA too so I pretty surprised, which also essentially means that DOA has the most 4K footage of all the 3D fighters out there. I should probably keep pushing the DOA stuff.

I think someone named Vs thanatos was trying to do something like that currently so he's trying his best at it which is great. It's sort of like following up with STBALLA was doing back in the DOA4/DOA5 days except now I have the resources and tools that wasn't present back in the day. The days when 720p was max and rare to come by lol.

Normally I ignore the DOA drama from the comp groups as every trash talk, DOA drama, and grudge match have been very low level thinking aka low level drama, so I sort of heard the situation between Ulthimas and Memphis. I actually had to remove Memphis as the guy kept pestering me to promote his stuff.

Vaguely remember he wanted me & RenderingStar to have his videos on main channel spotlights forever. I was like what? for every upload? lol?

I personally do not mind to promote DOA6 or DOA5LR with other players, but if it's to promote your grudge match and trash talk for personal agendas or rushed fame, then that's something I have zero interest to promote. He wasn't feeling it so I removed him.

Context goes a long way when the better approach would of been "Hey man, i'm really trying to grow my channel and I would like some help. Can I feature one of my regular DOAs matches in yours?"

Me: Sure man! Link me it.

But people know how antagonistic I get when people "demand" stuff out of me.
