Well, most games have these phases to be fair or no community at all. Fighting games in general take a long time to make and don't sell well. Have you ever entered a Hoodless weekly?

@deathofaninja I haven't entered a tournament before - I'm unsure of myself when it comes to having the skill to play competitively, as there are so many really good players out there who have been playing FGs for years. Also, I get nervous and twitchy whenever I play videogames.
I do play and practice rather often though - there was a point where I would play ranked at least two nights every week.
