What's making you decide to drop DOA, bro?

Possibly dropping DoA as a whole. Still deciding. Just sick and tired of how stupid this game allows people to be. I hit people, they're at disadvantage, but hey, let's just mash. Let's abandon all logical thought process on how technical fighting games are played, and just smash our face into the control and hope to God this works. Stupid people promote stupid play.

Some of the top players mash out of things they shouldn't and they get away with it. So that makes a lot of people think, that's how we should play. And if it's not that, it's the oh so loving counter mash.

True, alot of players promote bad play, andmost tournament players do too. Can't argue there, I hate seeing people mash out of Ayane's oki but meh. It would be unfortunate if the community loses a solid player, especially in Cali. But it is your decision. I'd like it if you stayed.

See this is exactly what I was talking about. This was my point back during the 1.03 patch when there was that SE glitch that effectively snuffed countering once you'd gotten sit down stuns. It rewarded the neutral game and forced players to play respectively and not mash their brains out and counter because they could.

You were against it and wanted it to play differently. This is what it's all about. You'd be in heaven if this was DOA3. And how things are now? It was even worse in DOA4. You could mash and SE out of ANYTHING, counters lasted FOREVER in active frames and nothing was guaranteed, the neutral game meant absolutely nothing and spammers could beat pros.

I still hope you're around for 5U. But if you decide to bolt I honestly can't blame you. It's been a fun ride... well.. when I play you I mean. If you do decide to leave, let me know and we can have ourselves a killer blowout session before you leave. Hopefully I can get Neo in on it too.

If you honestly decide on dropping DoA, It's your choice and no one else's. However, many players will miss you in this community, and if you decide to go back to SC, you can always hit me up for a match whenever you want. I'll be waiting.

I love playing with you; and every time I do, I learn something new. I'm really thankful to you for lending me your time and teach me how to use Akira. I really want to keep getting better. Because the only people I'm learning from Akira is you and Zeo . And I still got a long way to go to become as nearly hell as good like you and Zeo.

Yeah, I was against it because I didn't think it would get this bad. And SE'ing isn't the main problem. But tonight just really made me unhappy and realized how shitty people make this game. I destroyed tonight, but watching these other players play, and playing against them just made me so displeased. I'm tired of having to try out think bad players even when I'm at full advantage. It

Just made me very sad.. But I'm still figuring out if I should leave now and wait for 5U or if I should stick it out and wait til' 5U. 5U decides if I stay or go.

I know. Sly can also help you Cryo. Anyways, I'll just stay til' 5U and see how I feel about 5U. I wanna give it a 100% fair chance to change my mind. For now, you're right. I'd be giving up on a lot of people and this community just leaving without sticking it out and giving 5U a chance.

5U... a lot of people expect it to be the same more or less and it might but no one really knows. It'll be the deciding factor for me too. I played horribly today (Meaning I got like... 55% wins instead of my usual 65-90%) but playing DOA4 and basically magnifying why I lose in DOA5 by 200% just broke it for me.

But this game just.... makes me upset right now. If this game were to truly change, the players would change with it.

If 5U ends up being... basically this game with 5 new characters? I won't quit it period, because my character is in it and character loyalty goes a long way for me. But I will step back from the game, and it will be reduced to a game I just hop into every now and then. A lot of things will be decided in September.

It was a bad day for a lot of people I heard. DOA... could be so much more, it's fun at a distance but when you get really deep into it it's irritating seeing the things people are capable of getting away with in this game and how close it really is to being amazing.

Like... I've linked you DOA3 videos before. Watch some 3.1 videos on youtube and see how important the neutral game is, how risky counters are and rewarding getting that first hit really is. That could be this game. A really solid game but if it doesn't take those crucial steps it will always be short of perfect and thus, seen as a casual only breast fest.
