That's the difference between Yunsung and Zwei. In SCII Yunsung was practically suicide to play competitively but people were still able to pull it out with very hard work. He's still the obvious worst character but it's not impossible.
Zwei on the other hand is deemed competitively (and casually lol) unplayable. And that's the character I was going to main (2nd being aPat). You can probably understand why I passed on the game.
Technically Dampierre as a whole is a joke character. But he is tournament viable, he can win. It's just nobody has fully dissected him enough. They haven't got the skill. And since he's a joke character nobody wants to actually learn him. Oofmatic and I are about the only ones who have taken him seriously. Only Oof likes to do silly random launch punishable moves and loses a lot for that -.-...
I'm just saying since I don't really have him, and I'm not thinking in paying 400Mp just to buy him. But I do quite found him interesting seeing how others used him really well.
But Dampierre is an amazing character. And his gimmicks and randomness make his amazing mixup game. Plus he gets a half life combo off of one super launch. Sooooo mmmmhmm.
That's awesome. aPat's agB (JF'S 2x) combo's into Sakura Twister JF's 2 times and it takes away more than half of your life. Highest damage I've done with him was 210.
If you drop DoA entirely, then tears are gonna shed ;_; But it is your decision after all, so it's cool. Glad to hear you're starting to consider VF though. It's still the best of this generation from the gameplay aspect in my book : P
I've had quite a few players talk to me about it after I posted on FSD and Facebook about it. I'm more than likely gonna stay because everyone seems to want me to stay for whatever reason. But tonight was just one of those nights that kind of injured my spirit. So I guess I'm weary. Definitely taking a well needed break so I can just get myself back together. Focus more on life and whatnot.
But yeah. I've always wanted to get good at VF but it's in no way easy. So everytime I get on VF, it overwhelms me and I go back to games I feel comfortable in. I'm gonna do it, just need to have more incentive.
I had the same spirit wrenching day dude. But a nice break and when you come back you should feel a bit better despite all the bull. Honestly 5U renewed my interest in this game. I was more than content being retired and you being my successor as the new Akira.
VF5FS isn't that hard to get a good grasp of anyway really. Having played VF2 when SEGA re-released it, I never knew the meaning of the word "Hard" until I played that game <.< Easy to pick up, but hard to master. Knowing how to play is like a martial art in itself XD If you have it on PSN, we can have some mirror matches to help make you feel more comfortable with the game.
But I'll say this, as awesome as some of your friends may be and as much as they want you to stay. In the end it won't be enough once your spirit has truly left the game. I know that firsthand.
Yeah. That's why I'm taking a break. Don't want it to leave completely. I just wanna see what Akira is gonna be in 5U. I only have VF on XBL, J. But I'm gonna wait to see what happens from here on out. Maybe VF will be my new interest until 5U. Who knows.
