I don't know. In fighting games terms, Tekken is harder to get into so you are probably adjusting to Tekken's playstyle and not DOA's.

That maybe the problem.

I guess I can't deal with DOA's stun system.

Well the holds were put in the game to "balance" it out. VF and Tekken are balanced or close to it. DOA is very unbalanced so they thought holds would balance it more, it it did and didn't
