I don't use it much, only here and there. It's the only thing in the game tht I have seen evade anything and everything than comes to it. If they try to attack their hit will just go threw her and grabs will not do anything.
What this is called is an evasive move. However, this backflip has a major draw back. To the unknowing it can be a problem but to the knowing players you will be blown up in the last frames of the move as well as the recovery. Slow strings with 2 hits in them will hit you, the 2nd hit will. If a character has a throw from a stance that projects their body forward then you will be thrown.
You sure that throws that move the character forward can grab her? http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=e1xWrLVZaQA
At 0:57, Ayanes throw whiffed completely and she was right there on her. But the two links I posted are the only times I ever seen this backflip actually being used.
kasumi and hayate are an example of this. Their throws from their dashes will throw her in the recovery of the back flip. She's at -55 when she does that backflip. she has to pray that a player stands there and does not pursue her. ayane does not have a throw like that but she does have slow 2 hitting strings that will hit her. i haven't looked into ayane doing it but i am pretty sure she can.
I think I'm getting this but not sure. So if Kasumi sashes in (her hoshninpo right?) with the grab she can catch Sarah during or after the flip? Because Ayanes throw was surely on Sarah but whiffed. So they can throw her after the backflip animation or during it?
