Ok say a move is -5 on block right? If you Stagger Escape the block stun of the move on on block it can become -7 on block instead of -5 on block. This method was in DOA4 and DOA5 Vanilla but they took it out in Ultimate and kept it in the Arcade Ver. In Tekken 6 and Tekken BR they're were differences which is the reason why alot of tekken players overseas did not travel to Murica to play.
Basically Sly.. i think it shortens your block stun which then shorten the recovery of the person blocking. In other words, yeah it increases your recovery. Its not MAJORLY breaking (2-3 frames) but it does make the attacker cautious of what they do on block. It'd hope this doesn't count as when the attacker is + because that would be broken as all hell. It'd be - on a move thats +1 lolol
Let me break it down... you do a move on block.. lets say Hayates 6PK. Its -5 on block so its pretty much safe. If i Stagger Escape after the K followup from 6PK i can make that move -7 on block instead of -5 on block.
