yes, his keep out can be an issue for her, however this is something that i have recently noticed about his keep out; everything he does is unsafe excluding 214k. Either a neutral throw or a hard punish throw thwarts his keep out. He can't keep out how Jann or Ayane can which is back dash to safety once there keep out move is blocked or whiffed.

So as the Ein player you'd have to hit Kasumi more times keeping her out than whiff'ing and getting your attacks blocked. In theory, it is possible, in reality even when played to a T, it is not happening.

She also has her parries working for her, so she does not have to deal with the mix up of mid p/k keep out. doing her hoshinpo dash in avoids his high keep out punch, yeah the dash needs to be timed correctly. I'm not saying his keep out useless it most definitely helps him in the match up against but him being just as unsafe as she is with his keep out tools does not help him.

I would like to play an Ein that knows how to play the damn character but to this day Offbeat Ninja is still the only person that plays the character in the manner in which he should be played and at the same time holds the reactions to capitalize on certain things. He doesn't play much anymore though and he's still new to system.

No offense taken; I'm still getting the hang of the Ein. I've been trying to incorporate Korean backdash and Wave dashing into my play in order to create situations where I can whiff punish. I guess it would be accurate to call it passive - aggressive spacing.

Sometimes depending on the MU I just turtle my ass off. Usually it's when I'm facing characters like Ayane who can capitalize hard on any mistakes made by Ein in a spacing war.
