Injustice is a great game. I was a higher lv player online and I can tell you, Joker is considered one of the worst characters to play as. He is EXTREMELY gimmick based. Awesome to watch though. Go to testyourmight.com if you want to learn him or any other character.

Define gimmick. To me, it looks like he has insane cross up/set up potential with those chattering teeth.

And in all the videos I've seen, I don't think I've seen anyone use his parry.

He is a monster in the corner with many an unblockable setup. The problem is getting your opponent to the corner. His cross ups are rather easy to read as well. He needs tricks to win via the teeth.

The parry isn't used because it increases all his movement. Even his jump(ascends and descends faster) which screws up his setups. Those are the only reasons I've seen as to why Joker players don't use it. I personally would, I love parries. My main Wonder Woman has 2 great parries.

I've also seen in videos that his back dash avoids projectiles. Is that true for his forward dash as well?

I played Injustice since release and Joker is garbage lol. People in the NRS community will tell you same thing. Im from TYM and people explored this character for months. Poor mobility(good luck getting on zoners lol), hard to open people up with, worst parry in the game etc. His "mix ups" can even be blocked. 32~db2 mb.

You will struggle with everyone else in the roster especially Superman, Black Adam, and any character with good mobility and zoning.

Also his "unblockable" set up in corner not actually unblockable. People think his teeth are unblockable but can be blocked by blocking low.

Also most of his main strings can be interrupted.

I was told they recently patched him again.

Isn't a jumping attack an overhead? I'm totally in the dark on the game/tech because I haven't learned it yet. I'm going to start studying it tonight.

Well he received buffs on his flower move and crowbar move which on hit gives an OTG situation. Crowbar is safer on block with the patch and flower now +4 on block but they never gave him what he truly needs.

His dash is a real problem. From full screen he struggles. Zoning is not that good as his only viable move is his gun which a high move. It also whiffs sometimes. And all his attempts from gun stopped by blocking low.

I saw a video of his dash going through projectiles like Zangeef's spin from SF.

Even if a character is handi-capped, it doesn't shy me away from them. I kind of like the challenge of proving people wrong.
