I want to be the best with that character. Getting bored with said character is only if I don't seek to improve with them. Simple as that.

I pick a character I like and I stick with it. Only reason why I play handful of other characters casually is due to the fact that I have good fundamentals and a solid neutral game to do so. Ayane is my comfort zone, I don't have a reason to be bored playing a character I can play so well.

There is enough depth to my character that changing is never really necessary. You learn something new everyday.

This is why when I did a tournament once, i did "First to 10 games wins, cannot use the same character more than 3 times". It forces the player to diversify and come up with multiple strategies.

True character loyalists stick with the character they like regardless of what tools they gain or lose, finding their own diversity in how to engage in matchups against other characters, which in themselves are multiple strategies.

To try and build up on what Hajin sen-PIE said it's also best to have an open mind because if you keep looking at a character like some kind of critic you tend to be weighted down by various supposed reasons. This also applies to matches as well.
