Simply tilt the console back facing you and then insert the disc. When you hear the small buzzing sound you then simply rest the PS3 to the position you had again and start playing. It's not the lens or anything that gives out the clicking sound. It's the mechanic that takes your disc in that causes the clicking sound for not inserting properly, but you can't manually do it because the console itself take the disc.

Those trayless disk drives look really cool but when they begin to fail its a real pain in the dick to fix because there's a million pieces that wear down over time. What you said is temporary but it will get worse over time.

On initial yeah. It will most likely get worse if it consumes dust to either attaching to the lens etc. Some people don't notice that your popping the disc in many many times throughout the time your using the console, it usually causes these rear mechanics to become rust and add cracks around the sides when it takes the disc in.
