To be fair, Experimental Playground was banned in DOA4 tournaments and the DOATEC Germany for DOA2 Ultimate. The former for having too many obstructions, and the latter mainly because of Tengu. For that reason, I won't judge people who know what they're talking about in their own game, much less prefer playing on an even-playing field.
