Just played a Ranked match with Alpha 152. She's completely playable everywhere. Not sure where people got that shit from.
Alpha 152 is definitely still playable online, just possibly not Ranked. Not a ton of people playing to test that but in Lobby she's there.
Jin Masters has the game so I'd take his word, but I'll post a screenshot when I get home one way or the other.

Excellent matches against Ikodomo online in DoA5. Servers may be coming around as the matches were very playable, even impressively so.
I literally just had two status updates in a row about precisely that.
To my last status update, factor in that I mean eight hours of game time, not real time. That was closer to 12 hours.
It took eight hours roughly with every second pre-planned to maximize titles received. It's much harder than you think but have fun.
Alpha 152 unlocked and her training is done. Now I can sleep. -
