I just don't want to start over from scratch with all my saved data gone. I got all the Dimension's DLCs, rare/super rare and event Pokemons from White 2 and Y, etc.

I guess I just like the shade. I previously had the Aqua Blue one but I bought that on impulse due to the Dimensions hype back then.

I believe save issues are with digital so if you have physical copies you should be good.

Yeah the games I own all physical copies no digital so I can't speak on whether there will be an issue for digital. I remember hearing that transferring things to a new DS is ass backwards though

I got all their physical copies anyways. I just don't want to go over the route and unlock everything by scratch again + lose all my DLCs.

Wow never mind both systems still retained their full charge even after more than 6 months of inactivity. Ok so as long as you have data on the SD everything goes I'm playing Monster Hunter 3U which has strict save rules. And my characters went over to my XL no problems.

Nope thats a system level thing and I heard podcast where that along with digital games is a bitch.

Fuck, that means I lost any game data that utilizes Streetpass then.

How does that work?

Use the system transfer tool in the options. Not sure if you need a router. This maybe as simple as sticking the SD card inside the 3ds though. Just see if you can move the data to the SD or if its already there.

Alright. I'll try that later on after my new 3DS XL is fully charged but if it needs internet connections, I'm doomed to start all over again from scratch.

I just inserted my old SD card in my new XL and checked Dimensions. I still have my data in tact (my fight record is a still a B+, 25000 wins from Helena, my figurines still complete) but I lost all my costume DLCs. ; _ ;

System Transfer needs internet connections sadly, I'll probably try getting connected at the mall, maybe at some restaurant with free wifi.

WTF!? Seriously? I can't bring something that is already dead and not functioning well. I doubt they'd even let me charge that on the mall just to have the wifi work its magic.

This is everyones problem when their 3ds is lost or stolen. Nintendo is a very strict company to prevent piracy. Even though people pirate their games anyway.
