Okay lang, po. ^^ I hope you feel better! Eat some lugaw/arroz caldo. ^^ and I've been wanting to say hi and stuff, but I was shy. ;o I thought you would think I was weird for talking in Tagalog. ;o I hardly get to practice my Tagalog cause where I am, no one speaks. Wanna be my language partner?! ;D

Sige~! Lol huwag kang mahiya and I don't think it's weird. xD

Naghahanap nga ako ng mainit na sabaw. ; _ ;

o.o Darn, you're younger than me, so I cant call you Kuya. >.<' Lol. Ai nako. Anong pangalan gusto mo tawagin ka? (Omg. That was bad. >.<' Lol.Fix it please.) Gah. I can understand, but it's so hard for me to speak or type. I can only speak/type Taga-lish. Lol.

Tawagin mo na lang akong Rawbie (it's not my real name but I just roll with it) and to correct you there, you should say: "Anong pangalan ang gusto mong pantawag ko sa iyo?" xD

And... I'm younger than you? Ilang taon ka ba? o.o
Richille

Ohhh. Okay. ^^' And I am 23. ^.^ So, to practice my tagalog, I've been watching Filipino movies and listening to tagalog music. ^^' It's so hard to find the good movies. I miss watching the teleserye on TV. Do you have recommendations for movies and songs? ^^'

Our ages aren't that far. I'm turning 23 by September anyways.

I'm not too keen around OPM songs but try listening to stuff na kinanta nila Gary Valenciano, Regine Velasquez and Martin Nievera. As for movies, it depends kung anong type ng movie ang gusto mong panoorin, I usually enjoy comedies like the Home Along series.

Ooh. I turn 24 in September. ^^' Lol. Ooh, I havent really listened to them recently. But I know their songs for the most part. I listen to Gloc9, Yeng Constantino, Parokya Ni Edgar. Gusto ko manood ng comedies din. Is that the Home Along the Railroad series? I love that show! <3

Your OPM artist choices seemed rather advanced but hindi naman mahirap intindihin ang kanta nila, especially yung mga luma nila na kanta.

Yup, it's the railroad series. There is also the airport series but I mostly grew up watching the railroad series.

What do you mean advanced? Alam ko hindi mahirap intindihin ang kanta nila, I actually like it. Perfect songs for karaoke! ;D Oh, I also listen to April Boy Regino. Alam ko some songs nya by heart. ^^'

I dont think I've seen too many of the Airport series. I also grew up on the railroad series. ^^' Oh, one favorite Filipino movie is Isusumbong Kita sa Tatay ko. FPJ & Judy. Such a cute movie! <3

By advance, I mean hindi karaniwan pinapakinggan when learning the language unless yung kanta is luma but I guess times has changed.

The Ang Tanging Ina series was also a fun series as well as its movies. Nakakatuwa talaga si Ai-Ai Delas Alas in most comedies where she is featured.

Ohhh. Well, actually, my reading & listening is advanced level for tagalog. I just cant seem to translate my thoughts from English to Tagalog. I have such a hard time speaking or writing. I can basically understand everything that people say in Tagalog. For example, my parents used to talk to and continue to talk to me in Tagalog whenever they call. I just tend to answer back in English. >.<'

Oh! I also have been trying to learn Hawak Kamay on the guitar. ^^' Pretty song! ^.^

Answering someone back in English is a common habit I tend to do myself kahit pa nagtatagalog ako. I dunno. I just sounded way more refined when talking to people in English even though I know and speak the language well.

I think you just need exposure in order to adapt the environment. Try mo tumira sa Pilipinas ng ilang buwan. You'll pick up the language easier.

I wish I could do that! I cant afford to though. ;/ Teachers dont make a lot of money and I have student loans to pay off. Lol. But yeah, living in the Philippines would definitely be the way to go. ^^' But for now, I'mma talk to you in tagalog if that's okay? Ooh! Maybe we can play DOA in a lobby and we can conversate in Tagalog? ^.^ Just a thought though. ^^'

It honestly worked with me when I was trying to learn my mom's Cebuano dialect (She is from Bohol). Di ko alam paano magsalita in Cebuano at first but after 2 years of staying in Bohol, I'm getting the hang of the basics and can engage to a conversation.
