+27 with SE off. Won't connect with SE on fastest because of 214P into 43P. It looks like it'd guarantee his knee at least even if the opponent tries to SE at that point. Seems to happen randomly, though. It'd be useful if we found why it happens.
Come to think of it, it may have something to do with the way Akira can change sides from his sidestep off of 43P, as well as 3H+K and 2H+K. Maybe it's just that happening with the opponent in SDS.
Take a look at your stance and your opponents stance. Are you guys in an open stance (both your opponent and you have either your chest or back to the screen) or are you in a closed stance? (One of you have their chest facing the screen and one has their back facing the screen).
Depending on the open or closed stance, you might get different behavior. You'll notice it on the 214P+K input. If you're in open stance, they won't stumble as far away as if you're in a closed stance.
I play VF, so I understand some things being stance dependent. Already looked at that. It seems like, if it is stance dependent, that it has to be open stance and you have to step in the same direction as your back is facing. Doesn't seem to work all the time that way either. I really don't get it :/
So far I've only managed to do it 3 or 4 times on Dojo stage. Haven't tried it with slippery floor. It might have something to do with stance still; 214P looks like it changes the opponent's stance. I'll go back to looking at it soon. This could prove to be fairly useful tech.
Only picked him up recently. I'm not very good with him yet. Also, I'm not sure whether this works or not with 3H+K from 214P. I haven't gotten it to work yet, but it might.
