Same TTT2 bored the hell out of me after a week and even though Tekken Revolution was an overall improvement going back to 1 vs 1 with old Tekken gameplay, it delivered its own issues too. Which is a shame since I like the Tekken cast and I play Lars/Lili/Lee
The only thing I like about TTT2 are the Tag Assaults and the sheer number of characters, since it is a dream match up game. However, the mechanics just aren't to my liking anymore. I still prefer 1v1 Tekken games. Plus, I hate bounds. -_-
See, I prefer Tekken Revolution, because it reminded me a lot of Tekken 4, my favorite in the series. Bounds are dumb to me, but because I like Tag Assaults, I had to get used to them. But after awhile, you see the same bound combo set ups and it bores me.
I love Tekken, arguably more than DoA and I played both since their first games. But I gotta say, Tekken has been getting dry for me lately. But.... the CH EWGFs are just soooo glorifying..
not for anything but you see the exact same tag assaults after a while, so it's really not that different besides i have different combos for each situation with my mains lol
Tekken is still fun, don't get me wrong. I love the ouch factor, that's for sure. But it just hasn't been fun for me after Tekken 4, but I still force myself to play it because more people play it, as far as 3D fighters go.
Honestly, I thought the bounds were fine in 6. In TTT2, just about every bound and tag was a potential death combo or near it. That I wasn't too fond of, but other than that the game was pretty rewarding in gameplay, to say the least.
The bounds in 6 were fine, those I can live with. However, I do hope that Tekken 7 plays more like Tekken 4, because I miss being able to reposition myself before a battle starts. They should also tweak the bound system.
