I hope you like waiting another 1000 years for a single announcement then LOL. There are two OVAs out if you didn't already watch them. One of them being REALLY plot important and the other being a bunch of shits and giggles.

I don't mind waiting plus I heard season 2 can be expected 2015/2016

for now I just wait for the limited edition part 2 to come out and rewatch it in english since when I was watching part 2 in sub i was looking at the bottom of the screen 75% of the time lool

Its basically about this in Tokyo Bay that has complete dominance over it some subjects. A girl named Ryuko enrolls in the school in order to find her fathers killer, whom she be lives is the overseer of the school.
Its really over the top and every humorous, but has a really good story too. the animation is great and really colourful.
If you seen Gurren Laggan, its kinda like that.
