hmm. is there anyone there that knows all the obscure settings I need to configure to record on a PS3? They have all these restrictions on the damn system. I don't know if my surface pro has the power to stream. I also don't have any account for streaming either.

I know the settings with the PVR2 and Elgato. I do believe that the PS3 restricts HDMI because it has this particular lock. Basically it can record 1080i but not 1080p..so basically it automatically defaults as 720p and only 1080p on rare occasions with certain games. Since it's DOA5U..it's likely to be streamed as 720p/

I'm not sure how it would work with your device without the use of an HDMI, for PS3 recording devices..it requires Component cables. (Red/Green/Blue/White wires)

I think a startup point test is if you can try component cables with your 360. If it works, it should work with the PS3 as well.

I have the adapters for RGB component. It's what I recorded ECT footage with. I just don't remember all the fucking hoops we had to jump through to get it to record.

Ahhh I gotcha. Damn, those guys grab those tournament equips quick. If we had the equipment there..all we needed is the link and someone will post it on FSD and boom, streaming starts.

I'm gonna research your recording device in a bit. Likely the same streaming stuff as PVR2 probably.
