Some games have a feature that lets you do this like DOA5 photo mode. For the rest a capture card could help do this or if you find away to feed the picture through your computer you can take a screen shot.

Easiest way is the capture card but also the most costly.

Hey Snipe! Yeah i heard about those capture cards, do they take screenshots in HD though? And whats the quality like? I was just looking up a thing called HD PVR 2 but that's kinda pricey lol.

That is exactly what I use easy install and yes it can take HD screen shots. It comes with a program to help.

You will need the PS2 Composite wires they shouldn't be too hard to find but it won't be 720p. It will be 480p you can do some tricks to get it to 720p but it still won't be true HD.

The Hauppauge comes with a composite converter for PS3 because of the HTCP protection on it you can't use the HDMI there's a way to get past this if you have a stereo receiver or an HDMI adpter.

Yeah noticed that under some of the listings on that link but it's still in HD so thats cool. Lol i will probably just play around with it for a while at first but SH would be a good place to start!

Btw how does a capture card compare to the Hauppauge?

How does it compare as far as image quality goes i should have added lol. Are capture cards in HD too?

The raw video is exactly what you record in however if you edit the video you need to make sure the settings are set to the output you want.

Just watched it, that was really good! Nice choice of music too! One more thing, if you want to take screenshots how do you do it? Is it a simple button press or is just kinda pausing your game while recording or something rather?

In the program itself Arcsoft when you are capturing you will see a take screen shot button on the right. Or when you edit, its easier to screen cap when you edit because you can go frame by frame.
