no clue, wish they did though, more so to see how i fucked up than to bask in temporary glory.

Makes no sense to me. Every other fighting game have this feature.(SC, VF, Tekken)

According to those who complained about it the main reason is that it's an unnecessary time filler for matches. They just want to fight immediately after a round and hated the match being delayed due to replay/round win poses from past DoA games.
