lol damn. This happened to me before in past though. For some reason they assume you are a girl if you use a female character avatar. Atm using Nyo Tengu on my PSN account and so I got that message.

Yeah, its mainly because of the avatar thus completely ignoring your user id. I'm currently using the USFIV Poison avatar and still they ask me the same question.

Sadly, it happened to me too in the past. A couple days ago this person message me 4 times "Are you a girl?". I should have responded like this. "Muthafucka you think I'm a chick? Do you not see my name?" lol
