Its ironic to me really because it seems that this game rewards controlling space more so than other 3d fighters to me. Kinda interesting that advanced movement isn't as ubiquitous here as it is in tekken.
It's rewarding because utilization of the environment in each stage plays a huge role in a match, and possibly match ups. That's why each stage is distinct to one another. Stage control as well as neutral control matters a lot in this game.
Punishment; which includes both strike and throw punishment. Throw punishment is basic and essential in DOA. Strike punishment exists as long as something is highly unsafe. It also consist of whiff punishment.
