Well I mean don't the principles kind of apply? You have 50/50 situations to force them up or atleast get damage and you have guaranteed setups for ground damage... that can in turn force them to tech or at least get up.
Yea we've got mid and low wake up kicks. So does Tekken. They have a low parry and idk what to combat the mid kick, but either way it's available. They have less invincibility frames though, if I remember correctly. We have holds for both of the kicks and ways out of special get attacks as well.
The risk reward is a lot more lopsided in Tekken to favor the aggressor due to invincibility frames and DOA's lack of re-launch on failed wakeup. In DOA you can be a lot more reckless when you're getting up. The WORST that can happen is a hold.
and also if the person stays honest and knows to just stand then the person can come up to them and use a certain move that will impact on the first few frames of the loss of invincibility from the standing up, so if the person attacks, they'll take that hit on the early frames or be forced to only block.
I don't believe tekken wakeup has any invincibility frames at all, as far as im aware. So basically, one option from an attacker can stuff all wakeup options in tekken as long as they are close enough... and it can inflict major, major damage with relatively little risk. in DOA, you would have to do something risky like a jump/pinning attack which itself carries a major risk if they just get up normally and avoid it.
@Rikuto see I'm like actually getting feedback from you but when I wanna havea discussion with the other guy, it's "irrelevant" so I don't deserve and answer.
I also didn't mean for it to sound like they're completely the same, but applying those principles I literally started getting more wins, and pressure on them.
