Yup and it was a pain in the ass just like XY.
You can pretty easily get a shiny Milotic in this game if you want one. In the route you can catch Feebas under the bridge by the waterfall you can ride up, Feebas has a 100% encounter rate (any rod) in the shadow of the bridge during the day.

So have an Octillery as your party leader with suction cups and fish up against one of the sides. Imo chain fishing is the easiest way to get shinies in the game.

I completely forgotten the process of chain fishing. Didn't know you could do that there too. xD
I'll try leveling up my Lileep (stuck on BOX 1 after resurrecting his fossil) against it since he also has the Suction Cups ability.

You don't need the party leader to be alive, suction cups still works if it's KO'd. You're better off with Lileep, catching an Octillery with suction cups is really annoying in ORAS and requires beating Delta Episode.

I haven't even started beating the Elite 4 yet since I'm leveling up my Froslass (She's only Lvl 53). The last battle I had was with Wally on Victory Road.

Oh speaking of leveling, there's Blissey secret bases you can scan to level up quickly and easily. You'll need to have found the Secret Meadow though, I think you need to use dive somewhere on route.. 131 or so to get there.

They're triple battles and all the Blisseys only know Healing Wish and are holding toxic orbs. The level release makes them lv 100 and each one gives about 40k exp to each pokemon in the battle.

Go into your base, go to your pc in it and then pick 'manage qr codes' and then it'll open the camera in the game. You have to make sure your screen is bright enough for them to scan.
