@iHajinShinobi Just really makes me upset to see you guys lay down and take it. Make some noise. This situation reminds me of that WNF all over again. Its disrespectful and you all are okay with it.
I mean here I am a guy coming in from the outside that seems to be more fired up about it than the people who built the shit. Someone needs to at least ask the questions.
I never said I was okay with anything. However I also believe the community does not deserve it either because of "everything" I have to see every single day. If this community doesn't change, it's always going to be stuck in a hole.
This really has nothing to do with your numbers. It has everything to do with certain people not wanting you there. They know a new version of this game is 4 weeks away. They could offer you a spot but they don't want to. And I'm sure that a lot of people around here would get off the couch and jump at the chance to play LR at EVO.
We have a below average rate for excellent commentary. The community looks terrible outside of DOA, our own playerbase is...I'll just say it's all over the place. Not to mention TN does so much when the community chooses not to take a bigger positive advantage of their support.
I know what it has to do with, that and the usual are all the issues. I don't see DOA getting a huge turnout at EVO outside of those of on WC, TX and EC that attend anything regularly.
Wasting my own time complaining about something I clearly saw wouldn't happen isn't going to make any progress. Playing my game, leveling up, helping the players level up when I can, competing and giving the game positive exposure is my concern.
There's no greater exposure for a fighting game than that tournament unfortunately. I'm not sure who's job it is to see that the game makes it there but obviously they fell short. Leveling people up means nothing if there's nowhere to play and no one new to beat.
@iHajinShinobi Anyway man I'm done. Everyone involved with EVO is slimy. I hope one day this game gets the credit it deserves, if not there, somewhere bigger and better.
I said new people man. New. In order to grow, you need to be seen. They want to keep you guys hidden away on Fridays and Saturday's with the exception of a TFC.
There have been new players at every major last year, especially within the last 4. I know these things because I talk and meet a lot of people at events.
You're kind of making a big deal out of this for nothing. It's not worth any negative resentment or any kind of negativity. EVO is not a focus, continuing community growth is. TN doesn't care about EVO.
I think you make too little of these things. You didn't care when they Aris and Rip dissed your game in front of 5000 people. There's plenty of people up here who care and you're always gonna be on the backseat if you don't do anything about it. But again, if you don't care why should I? DOA is everything to you. You should be irate.
No, see here's the difference between you and I, Maurice. I'm an actual player, I'm the guy that has literally started things in the SoCal scene along with others that helped build promote our scene (and you know who those people are).
I'm someone that "has" put up with constant smut and everything else as someone helping this game grow in the U.S. as I've leveled up all of last year and am recognized for west coast contribution and my play strengthening in 2014.
