Before I get offended unnecessarily, what "certain players" are you talking about? More importantly, why ain't you talkin' with the DOA gods about this? You're tight-knit with them as it is.
But to awesmic, the possibility can exist. I once requested Akira's shoulder damage to have a slight reduction in damage. Removing 3-4 points of damage for the least. But when I ask why does Hayate or Rig need this particular area to be buffed and you tell them those areas will simply not work for Rig they complain.
However that alone is shit tons more difficult because it's all on a generalized playstyle they tend to go for, it's dependent. But when it comes to a particular part where it's ridiculously fine..they still want improvements in that area. It's like "No! I don't want this move to be 100%! I want this move to be 500%!!!"
And then we get the difficult result of expected and common answer you'll receive when they respond back. "You don't play these characters! I do! and I SEEM to know what's best for them! (Sike I'm lying! I just want shit to go in my favor at all times! but I won't tell you that!.)
You should see how the idiots at eventhubs act over their characters. It is atrocious. I understand that players may have favorites but the buffs/nerfs still need to be reasonable. I can also say the same for certain KOF players on Juicebox's stream. People are still asking for buffs (even if the said characters are already great to begin with. Insult to injury the game is already balanced as it is)!
At this point, asking for buffs and nerfs won't make it to LR. Back when Ultimate launched, my only complaint for Akira was that a whiffed or blocked P or 46P and a couple other moves had extra un-necessary recovery frames added. It allowed people to low counter out and punish you with a 7 frame throw.
That's why I'm just eager to see the moves (maybe a new one?) and the frames; however, I don't think they will release that stuff ahead of the game for fear of negativity pre launch.
@Sly - Yeah I remember, I had a problem with that as well. I even made a thread for it but people automatically assume it's to cater for ones needs, which is a issue by itself.
@GreatDark - I can believe that. It's probably hella worse in those games.
I've made it apparent a long time ago that I do not agree or listen to DOA players about, people Perfect Legend. Because players do not understand what it means to balance a game when he hardly knows how to play DOA5 as it is.
