Oh right I forgot that their neutral throws are also one frame faster. So yeah, grapplers can.

so startup is 4 frames and its active for 1, so you should be able to punish them i think, unless they're supposed to add together to be 5 but idk i think you're using a grappler throw speed character

That's nothing, try getting poked out of throw punish opportunity with a 4, 6 or 8 frame throw vs an attack that is downward of -10 frames ie Lisa vs Christie online.

While the latter is true, grapplers won't throw -5 with a neutral throw at the initial state majority of the time. Throws like that with that particular semi-safe move only gets thrown if the opponent made a habit to do so. Name someone out there that will always throw a semi-safe move with a neutral throw. None.

Speak for yourself, I do throw semi-safe moves when I can.

You are willing to risk a neutral throw knowing that different characters have different recovery state. That's like saying someone will react to light negative options on block everytime during a strike situation for a CH. So perhaps I can adjust to what I said to a more convenient term. "Name someone out there that will always succeed in getting neutral throws from a Semi-Safe move."

Here's a better option. If you know the opponent is going to whack a button during a semi-safe move, you might as well smack a solid i13 mid or a i10 jab if the opponent has no intention to crush the jab. Risking for a "neutral" throw on a semi safe move is like trying to carry an egg with a spoon on a circus rope. Especially with the sad excuse of the online modes that we have.

Not to mention that some players still press throw if they see they got blocked either because they don't care about being at disadvantage or they don't know about frame. That can blow up your neutral throw too^^

All I have to say is, there's no shame in throwing a -5, but the option is likely suited for a near K.O situation to where it will kill and you know he/she won't break it. Chances are in your favor because hardly anybody breaks neutral throws to begin with (Unless you make it obvious..which...they still won't break because people forget to break it trololo.)

Don't get me wrong, you got balls to do it and succeeding into getting it. But the chances of miss timing that is likely large and people can get Hi counter damage for it. And as everyone knows, Hi counter damage towards you is dangerous. You can lose half health because you risked for a neutral throw on a -5.

Rachel's -16(or -15? Something like that) after 1PP and I get poked out of throw punishing it with a 7f throw 90% of the time online
