Are you actually shocked by that?
My Babenapes
My Babenapes
Yup lol that's how it usually work :p. The Internet doesn't like to respond to correct inputs or the timing of blocks/counters. It just does whatever it wants

@Randzz To be honest, I'm not.. Not even a little bit. XD

@My Babenapes Lol, yup, that's the exact problem. With the delay, it makes you have to react several times faster than usual, and with my shitty reaction time, that's not going to happen. >_>

Well,it's not just online....it's the same with everything really, like, even after learning the frame data for almost every single move,it's still hard to put it in practice in your very first match after coming out of the lab,be that online or offline.

xDevious
Well, I'm fairly decent at it Offline. I've learned how most Characters move and how their strings are. But since Online has delay, and Online people are better at mix-ups than the A.I's are, I'm having a harder time reacting to what's happening. :p

That's why it's always good to have a training partner of same or better level close to the place where you live.

Problem is, I know nobody that plays DOA. I've been trying to get my cousin and one of my best friends into it, but they just give up because they don't know what they're doing.. At least my cousin actually bought the game for PC, and trains regularly. :p
ChaolanLegacy

That's good, sooner or later he may get decent at it,if he is willing to step up his game all the time.Try to search mostly for players with good connection online then, maybe that way the delay may not be as bad as it usually is.
xDevious
xDevious
Yeah, I hope he will get better, lol. He knows the basics, like how to pull of strings, but he has no defense game whatsoever.. XD He blocks, but he never counters. XD I keep on trying to coach him every time we see each other , though, lol.

Yeah, I do look after people with good connection Online all of the time. Problem is, nobody from my country plays this, it seems. It's not too often I find people close to my country playing this either. >_> Therefore I end up with 3 bars max when I play Online. >_<

Now that's not a decent connection to test some new tech, and give him time, when I turned back to DOA,I faced one of my pals online in a 1-bar connection,he wasn't too good, and I ended up losing 7-3.

It is not, indeed. That's what I hate about living where I am living. Living in the UK/US would be way better. Oh gosh, yeah.. 1-bar is the worst, I freaking hate it.. >_> I'm getting used to 3-bar, since that's what I usually play in, but I would still prefer having 4-5 bars. That's sadly not going to happen as long as I live where I live, though.

4 and 5 bar connections are the thing indeed, but 3 bars can be quite fine, the delay(lag) still doesn't feel that huge.Guess there's nothing to do about it now.....maybe you'll find a DOA player there as strong as our usual top 8 placers in major tournaments, and have some offline sets.
xDevious
xDevious
Yeah, 3-bars is the best I'll get, and it is not too bad, I agree. I would still prefer a 4 or 5 bar opponent over anything, though. I've learned how to handle the 3-bar delay/lag pretty well.
Well, I keep looking, but nobody that I know of plays this, let alone are good at it, lol. I just hope my cousin improves fast, so we can play a few competitive Offline sets. :p
