Something I learned from my bf wrongfully going to prison and just for fun I'll list everything-
-$100 a week rent for the cell
-Laundry and drug testing fees
-charging for things they force you to get
-All sorts of other crap they take out of your work release paycheck
-$10 a day for an ankle bracelet once you get out that they decide how long it stays
Mary J possession makes up about 80% of incarcerations in the US - Not to say that's why your bf was in the clink. They will try and get you on anything they can. And if they see any narcotics on you there is a law where police can seize your property and sell it for themselves which is abused. It's technically illegal to do but they still do it.
It isn't what he did but he told me the people in for drugs/drunk driving have to go to weekly in-prison 'classes' for $20 each time on top of everything else
